Updated Prescribing Resource for administration in cases of swallowing difficulties

Our Prescribing Resource with advice for administering COVID therapies to patients who cannot swallow tablets or capsules has been updated with additional advice for molnupiravir.

The FDA Emergency Use Authorization for molnupiravir now states that the capsules can be opened and mixed with water for administration via nasogastric or orogastric tubes. Please refer to the molnupiravir Emergency Use Authorization for full details of the preparation and administration of molnupiravir by this route.

Note, the molnupiravir UK Summary of Product Characteristics still advises that the capsules should not be opened, crushed or chewed.
