Look for alternatives feature added to the website checker

If you use our other websites you may be familiar with the "look for alternatives" feature and we are pleased to announce that this feature is now available on interactions checker on the COVID-19 website.

If your drug search returns an amber or red interaction, clicking the blue "look for alternatives" button will open a table displaying all the drugs in your comedication class, and their interaction status which should assist in picking a safe alternative.

This feature is not applicable to drugs in the “Illicit/Recreational”, “Other” and “Vitamins/Supplements” classes, but we will be reviewing the “Other” drug class to see if some drugs can be moved into more specific classes.
